🎄✨ DAY 13 of the 24 DAYS OF FITMAS — PILATES EDITION ✨🎄
Move of the Day: Bridge with Dumbbells

Today’s festive burner: the classic Pilates bridge… but make it jolly by adding dumbbells! 🎁💪
Because nothing says “holiday cheer” quite like lifting your hips, squeezing your glutes, and holding dumbbells like you’re about to deliver gifts across the North Pole.

Why this move is magical:
This variation fires up your glutes, hamstrings, and core while giving your arms a little extra love. It improves hip mobility, strengthens your posterior chain, and sneaks in some upper-body work — basically, it’s the full-body gift that keeps on giving. 🎅✨

Cues to Sleigh the Move:
• Lie on your back, knees bent, feet hip-width apart
• Hold your dumbbells straight up over your chest (try not to drop them… Santa is watching 👀🎄)
• Press through your heels and lift your hips toward the ceiling
• Squeeze your glutes at the top like you’re trying to crack a candy cane 🍭😂
• Keep your ribs down and core engaged
• Lower with control — no plopping! Even elves move with intention
• Repeat and feel the holiday heat! 🔥

Today’s move: The Advanced Oblique Twist-Up (aka: “the move that makes you question your life choices… but in a good way.”)

Let’s be honest — your obliques don’t get nearly enough love. They’re the unsung heroes of your core… the ones quietly holding you together every time you twist to grab your coffee, load groceries into the trunk, or swivel dramatically when someone calls your name across the gym.

Strengthening them helps with:
✨ Better posture (goodbye slouching elf vibes)
✨ A stronger, safer low back
✨ More defined waistline (yes, please!)
✨ Stability for daily movements — especially the holiday “pivot-and-grab-another-cookie” motion

But today’s exercise?
⚠️ NOT for beginners.
If your core says “nope,” listen to it. This move is spicy — like “holiday jalapeño” spicy. Keep it controlled, keep it slow, keep your form sharp. Your obliques will thank you… eventually. 😉
