Day 6 • 24 Days of Fitmas — Pilates Edition 🎄✨

Today we’re showing some love to the muscles that run along your spine — your powerful back extensors!
We’re lying prone (on your belly) in a goal-post arm position, then reaching the arms forward in a smooth, controlled sweep — a variation of Pilates Swimming that builds strength, stability, and beautiful posture.

Cueing:
👉 Keep your legs long and lightly engaged
👉 Draw your belly gently away from the mat (no crunching the low back)
👉 Lift chest + arms with length, not height
👉 Glide your arms forward like you’re slicing through water
👉 Exhale to reach, inhale to return to goal-post

This one wakes up your entire posterior chain and leaves you feeling taller and stronger. 💪✨

HALF ROLL BACK + HOLD

Today we’re dialing up the deep core fire with the Half Roll Back and Hold — simple, spicy, and oh-so-effective! 🔥

How to do it:
• Sit tall, feet grounded, spine long
• Inhale to prepare, exhale as you tuck your tailbone and roll halfway back
• Keep your chest open, shoulders relaxed
• Hold at that “ooh-this-is-working” spot
• Pull your belly in and up like you're zipping up a tight jacket
• Breathe… slowly… intentionally… while your abs start writing their own holiday story 🎄💪

Make it fun:
Pretend you’re slowly sliding back into a comfy winter chair — but someone yelled FREEZE!❄️
Smile through the shake… that’s just your core getting festive.
